The day I first met Santa...

It's (not) Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas....

I can't believe it's already our 5th Christmas here in Los Angeles. Time flies when fun is being had! It's a bit difficult to get fully into the Xmas spirit when it's sunny and 80 degrees here, but this year I am all Gung-Moh about it with Chasen being around. We've got our tree up (my first REAL tree), doing a lot of gift shopping, and this year we will get our fix of Holiday snow when we fly to Minnesota on Christmas day.

Chasen is already 9 months and we love him more with every passing day. It's so much fun to watch him learn and show his personality. We've been meaning to do another video blog, so we'll do one soon!

Things I hope to teach you...

Hi Chasen,

As I lay next to you I can't help but think about what it will be like when you're walking, talking, and making your own mark in the world.

Just like my Dad has done for me, I want to give you every opportunity to live a happy and fulfilling life. I hope to teach you a few things ranging from silly to serious along the way.

Now keep in mind that this is a partial list and will continue to evolve as I continue to learn life's lessons.

That's a healthy start to a list that will have to wait a few years to begin. For now, I'm pretty busy just watching you teach yourself how to crawl, speak, and manipulate us. Come to think of it, I won't have to teach you much because you'll ultimately have to learn for yourself. I'll be here to guide you along the way.
